This Privacy Policy describes how Stellar Horizon ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and stores your information when you use our iOS application.

When you create an account, we may collect:

Date of birth
Gender
Profile picture

You may also use the app anonymously without providing any personal information.

Usage Data

When you interact with the app, we collect:

Photos you like and comments you post
Notification preferences
App settings (e.g. quiet hours)

Device Data

Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
Apple Push Notification (APNs) device token

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

Provide and operate the app's features (news feed, gallery, ISS tracker)
Enable social features (likes, comments, profile)
Send push notifications you have opted into
Allow you to manage and delete your account

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data may be stored on servers located outside your country of residence.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon deletion, all personal data including your profile, likes, and comments will be permanently removed.

6. Children's Privacy

Stellar Horizon is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time
